The work is devoted to the study of the geometric parameters of a knitted loop. It has been found that the optimal model is a loop model detailed at the yarn level, which considers the change in the cross-sectional shape and sets the properties of the porous material in accordance with the internal porosity of the yarn. A mathematical description of the coordinates of the characteristic points of the loop and an algorithm for calculating the coordinates of the control vertices of the second order spline, which determine the configuration of the yarn axes in the loop, are presented in this work.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe rates of Yersinia isolation from 156 samples of pathologic material cultivated by two methods, the routine one, with the selection of Yersinia from a microbial association by prolonged cooling of the examined material in slightly alkaline buffer and multiple inoculations into Endo's medium, and the technique suggested by the authors--a rapid method based on the treatment of the biologic material with a concentrated alkaline-salt mixture at 4 degrees C for 2 days and a single inoculation into inhibiting selective medium. Use of the rapid method has increased the isolation rate of Yersinia 4-fold, cut down the time of the investigation 2-3-fold, reduced the cost and simplified the technique of analysis.
