Objective: Thyroidectomy is a relatively uncommon procedure in pediatric patients. We aimed to review our 20-year experience of thyroid surgery.
Methods: A total of 39 patients who underwent thyroid surgery from 2003 to 2023 were retrospectively evaluated.
We describe a pregnant patient with severe compulsive water ingestion and vomiting that lead to metabolic alkalosis and preterm delivery. A 21-year-old patient was hospitalized multiple times throughout pregnancy for symptoms initially thought to be related to hyperemesis gravidarum. Overtime, it became apparent that the patient induced vomiting by rapidly drinking large volumes of water.

The term "high-risk pregnancy" describes a pregnancy at increased risk for complications due to various maternal or fetal medical, surgical, and/or anatomic issues. In order to best protect the pregnant patient and the fetus, frequent prenatal visits and monitoring are often recommended. Unfortunately, some patients are unable to attend these appointments for various reasons.

Objective: Our study aimed to compare video laryngoscopy (VL) vs. direct laryngoscopy (DL) for tracheal intubation in adult patients receiving general anesthesia for elective surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Patients And Methods: The study included 150 patients 18-65 years old, ASA I-II (American Society of Anesthesiologists), and negative PCR tests before the operation was scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia.
