The results of surgical treatment in more than 700 patients clinical course and methods of diagnosis of recurrent and peptic ulcers of the duodenum after vagotomy are described. Some features of the course of peptic and recurrent ulcers of the duodenum depend on enzyme and acid producing function of the denervated stomach. Endoscopic examination has proved to be an effective method of diagnosis, as well as examination of the secretory function of the organs roengenological examination of the bowels.

In 222 patients cardia has been removed, and in 41 patient operations were performed for it's destruction. Postoperative reflux-esophagitis has been registered in 68 patients.

The data on the effective use of the new sorbent KAY and the carbon sorbent "Volna" in the treatment of acute generalized peritonitis were compared. Endosorption with sorbent KAY was conducted on an experimental model of generalized peritonitis. It produced a favorable effect on the functional morphology of the peritoneum by leveling many morphological signs of general intoxication of the organism and in this way creating the conditions for a favorable outcome of the postoperative period.

Regional lymph circulation in the abdominal organs was studied in 45 unbred rats, the effect of various lymphostimulators of regional lymph circulation was studied in 35 rats. Lymphotropic therapy was applied in the complex treatment of 106 patients with acute peritonitis in the clinic.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe authors conducted experiments on 30 dogs for periods of 1-7 days to 12 months and established that a sharp disorder of microcirculation occurs in the postoperative period, particularly in the cardia and fundus of the stomach, due to denervation and devascularization which lead to stasis in the venous system, hypoxia, and ischemia. The microcirculatory disorders are restored in 6 to 12 months. The study showed that the use of selective proximal vagotomy in true gastric ulcers is not expedient.
