Anatomic variations of the extrahepatic biliary tree. A monocentric study and review of the literature.

Introduction: The study of the anatomy of the extra hepatic bile ducts has demonstrated the existence of a significant number of variants which can be explained by hepato-biliary embryology. A good knowledge of this anatomy is essential for the interpretation of radiological examinations, and for a good practice of hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery. Several imaging methods are used to study the anatomy of the bile ducts, including classical cholangiography, which is still practiced and very useful.

Bacterial adhesion on orthopedic implants.

Orthopedic implants are routinely used for fixation of fractures, correction of deformities, joint replacements, and soft tissue anchorage. Different biomaterials have been engineered for orthopedic implants. Previously, they were designed merely as mechanical devices, now new strategies to enhance bone healing and implant osteointegration via local delivery of molecules and via implant coatings are being developed.

Anthropometric Characteristics of Tunisian Population in Comparison to the World.

Background: Anthropometry is the one and only universally applicable, inexpensive and non-invasive method for studying the proportions of the human body. Anthropometric measurements reflect nutritional status and health, but can also be used to predict skills, health status and survival. Kinematic analysis of the shot-put: A method of assessing the mechanical work of the hand action force.
