Background: Although older adult patients have a higher retear rate after rotator cuff (RC) repair, the influence of aging on the healing process remains unclear. During mouse enthesis development, a multipotent progenitor co-expressing scleraxis (Scx) and SRY-box 9 (Sox9) contributes to enthesis formation. Scx/Sox9 cells may act as enthesis progenitors even during postnatal healing, and their number decreases with maturation.

Relationship Between Ultrasound and Physical Examination in the Assessment of Enthesitis in Patients With Spondyloarthritis: Results From the DEUS Multicenter Study.

Objective: The study objectives were (i) to explore the agreement between the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) ultrasound lesions of enthesitis and physical examination in assessing enthesitis in patients with spondyloarthritis (SpA) and (ii) to investigate the prevalence and clinical relevance of subclinical enthesitis in this population.

Methods: Twenty rheumatology centers participated in this cross-sectional study. Patients with SpA, including axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA), underwent both ultrasound scan and physical examination of large lower limb entheses.

Timing of Assessment of Humoral and Cell-Mediated Immunity after Influenza Vaccination.

Assessment of the immune response to influenza vaccines should include an assessment of both humoral and cell-mediated immunity. However, there is a lack of consensus regarding the timing of immunological assessment of humoral and cell-mediated immunity after vaccination. Therefore, we investigated the timing of immunological assessments after vaccination using markers of humoral and cell-mediated immunity.

Spatial Clusters of High Prevalences of Overweight and Obesity Among Children in Indonesia.

Objective Childhood obesity has emerged as a pressing health concern in both high-income and lower-middle-income countries, including Indonesia. The prevalence of overweight and obesity among school children aged 5-12 years has been increasing in Indonesia, with 20% of Indonesian children identified as obese or overweight in 2018. Therefore, addressing this problem will be challenging.
