Establishing healthy feeding habits during infancy is crucial for optimal growth. However, certain parental feeding and cultural practices might hinder the development of children's healthy eating behaviours. This research explored responsive feeding practices among migrant mothers in Australia.

Background: It is believed that loss of p53 function plays a crucial role in the progression of well to poorly differentiated thyroid cancers including anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC). Receptor protein tyrosine phosphatases γ and ζ (RPTPγ and RPTPζ) are transmembrane signaling proteins with extracellular carbonic anhydrase-like domains that play vital roles in the development and functioning of the central nervous system (CNS) and are implicated in tumor suppression, neurodegeneration, and sensing of extracellular [CO] and [HCO ]. RPTPγ expresses throughout the body, whereas RPTPζ preferentially expresses in the CNS. Here, we investigate differential RPTPγ-RPTPζ expression in three sources derived from a wild-type laboratory strain of C57BL/6 mice: (a) mixed neuron-astrocyte hippocampal (HC) cultures 14 days post isolation from P0-P2 pups; (b) P0-P2 pup hippocampi; and (c) 9- to 12-week-old adult hippocampi.

Mobile health (mHealth) interventions provide a low-cost, scalable approach to supporting parents with infant feeding advice with the potential to reduce health care visits and associated costs for infant feeding support. This Australian study examined the impact of the Growing healthy (GH) app on health service utilisation and out-of-pocket costs for families in the first 9 months of their infants life. A quasi-experimental study with a comparison group was conducted in 2015-2016 with an mHealth intervention group (GH app, n = 301) and a nonrandomized usual care group (n = 344).

Lusutrombopag Reduces the Risk of Hemoperitoneum Caused by Percutaneous Radiofrequency Ablation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Compared with Platelet Transfusion.

Introduction: Patients with liver cirrhosis develop thrombocytopenia and an increased risk of bleeding events after invasive procedures. Lusutrombopag, a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, can increase the platelet count. This study assessed whether lusutrombopag reduces the risk of hemoperitoneum following percutaneous radiofrequency ablation for hepatocellular carcinoma, compared with platelet transfusion.
