Background: Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) is the most prevalent acute peripheral polyneuropathy disorder. The disparities between populations and variations in the major risk factors highlight the importance of country-specific studies. This study aimed to report clinical characteristics and outcomes of ICU-admitted patients with GBS in an academic medical center in Iran.

Abstract: Oto-tricho refers to a disorder of hair growth in the tympanic membrane (TM). In its early stages, it can manifest as symptoms such as tinnitus, chronic pain, cough, and nausea.
Tinnitus is usually associated with different comorbidities such as anxiety, annoyance and depression. Evidences have targeted two main places for tinnitus treatment, namely the auditory cortex and the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC). Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been reportedly associated with improvement of cognitive functions in individuals.

By such actions, autophagy is essential for the prevention of aging, disease, and cancer. Genetic defects of autophagy genes lead to a host of developmental, metabolic, and pathological aberrations.

Here, we amend these hypotheses and propose an eco-centric model for geroplasticity (aging plasticity including aging reversal). According to this model, youth and aging are plastic and require constant maintenance, and, respectively, engage a host of endogenous rejuvenating (rejuvenins) and gero-inducing [geriatrin] factors.
