Background: Metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) is the main cause of CRC mortality, with limited treatment options. Although immunotherapy has benefited some cancer patients, mCRC typically lacks the molecular features that respond to this treatment. However, recent studies indicate that the immune microenvironment of mCRC may be modified to enhance the effect of immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Article Synopsis
  • - Ubiquitination plays a crucial role in regulating various signaling pathways in eukaryotic cells by modifying proteins, which affects their functions and life cycles.
  • - The review addresses the challenges of studying the ubiquitin system in the developing brain, emphasizing the complex and time-sensitive nature of these pathways during brain development and neural circuit formation.
  • - The authors suggest using interdisciplinary methods, including cell biology and neuroscience, to better understand how ubiquitination affects neurodevelopment and is linked to brain diseases, which could lead to new insights in neuroscience and potential clinical applications.

Increasing solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR) can raise human exposure to UVR and adversely affect the environment. Precise measurements of ground-level solar UVR and long-term data series are crucial for evaluating time trends in UVR. This study focuses on spectrally resolved data from a UVR measuring station in Dortmund, Germany (51.

Article Synopsis
  • Multiple myeloma (MM) is still an incurable cancer despite available therapies, with T-cell bispecific antibodies (TCBs) targeting BCMA and GPRC5D showing promise but facing issues like resistance and relapse due to antigen loss.
  • Forimtamig is a novel GPRC5D-targeting TCB that works more effectively than traditional formats by forming stable immunological connections, leading to better tumor cell destruction and T cell activation in preclinical studies.
  • Current research is exploring forimtamig in clinical trials for relapsed and refractory MM patients, both alone and alongside traditional care and new therapies, to enhance treatment outcomes and prevent relapses.

Follicular lymphoma (FL) is the most common indolent type of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Advances in treatment have improved overall survival, but early relapse or transformation to aggressive disease is associated with inferior outcome. To identify early genetic events and track tumor clonal evolution, we performed multi-omics analysis of 94 longitudinal biopsies from 44 FL patients; 22 with transformation (tFL) and 22 with relapse without transformation (nFL).
