Background: In Kazakhstan the pediatric population levels of obesity based on fat mass (FM) assessment are currently unknown. The present work aimed to assess average childhood FM levels and the prevalence of high levels of adiposity (based upon FM levels).

Methods: Cross-sectional data from 2015 to 2020 nationally representative Childhood obesity surveillance initiative and 2022 regional surveys were used for this study of children aged 8 years ( = 4770) and 9 years ( = 3863).

Oral hygiene predicts lower life satisfaction and subjective health: experience of post-Soviet countries.

Oral diseases are among the most common non-communicable diseases around the globe and become a public health challenge that considerably impact general health and well-being in all ages across the lifespan. Oral health is an integral part of general health, where poor oral health and other lifestyle-related chronic diseases have a common risk factor background. The underlying causes of oral health inequalities are often complex and related to country-specific historical, economic, cultural, social, or political factors.

Gender differences in adolescents' life satisfaction: A replication study in Kazakhstan.

Introduction: Whether adolescents' life satisfaction varies with gender is unclear. In a recently published study, Brisson et al. found unadjusted mean scores of life satisfaction to be higher in boys than in girls in Luxembourg, a country ranking high in gender-equality indexes.

Patterns and trajectories of inequality in physical activity from childhood to adolescence in Kazakhstan.

Objective: Sociodemographic differences in physical activity (PA) levels during the transition from childhood to adolescence, particularly in Central Asian countries, is lacking. In this study, we examine individual, family and environmental sociodemographic variables associated with PA among children and young adolescents in Kazakhstan.

Study Design: Secondary data analyses of two nationally representative cross-sectional studies administered by parents of children (aged 7-9 y) and by self-report surveys (adolescents aged, 11-15 y) .

Immunology Status of Patients During Kidney Transplant.

Objectives: The immunology status of a patient has a crucial role in kidney transplant. We investigated the effectiveness of a desensitization protocol, guided by the immunology status of patients, for kidney transplant candidates.

Materials And Methods: Antibody screening for human leukocyte antigens was conducted with the Luminex single-antigen microsphere bead assay method for 34 patients from June 2021 to June 2022.
