In the present study, lanthanum oxytellurate (LOT) samples with varying La : Te ratios are successfully synthesized using a simple hydrothermal method that has enormous advantages. The prepared samples crystallize in a LaOTe composite phase with an orthorhombic crystal system. A nanorod-like morphology is observed for each sample, and the presence of constituent elements is verified from EDX results.

In this study, a hybrid amino functionalized MOF@rGO nanocatalyst was produced by utilization of a biowaste mediated carbon material (reduced graphene oxide; rGO) and its surface was modified by in situ synthesis of a nanocrystalline, mixed ligand octahedral MOF containing iron metal and NH functional groups and the prepared composite was investigated for Cr (VI) removal. The photocatalytic degradation of Cr(VI) in aqueous solutions was carried out under UV irradiation.
