In India and the Southeast Asian population, hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are the leading lifestyle-related diseases, responsible for a majority burden of morbidity and mortality. Multiple population-spanning studies have revealed the staggering prevalence of both diseases in India, and the prevalence of both will only increase further due to factors such as an aging population, rapid urbanization, increased obesity, and sedentary lifestyles. More than 50 percent of hypertensive patients in India are also diagnosed with T2DM, and a detailed management protocol for the same is required, especially when a major portion of the disease is managed at the primary care level.

A comprehensive health assessment approach using ensemble deep learning model for remote patient monitoring with IoT.

The goal of this research is to create an ensemble deep learning model for Internet of Things (IoT) applications that specifically target remote patient monitoring (RPM) by integrating long short-term memory (LSTM) networks and convolutional neural networks (CNN). The work tackles important RPM concerns such early health issue diagnosis and accurate real-time physiological data collection and analysis using wearable IoT devices. By assessing important health factors like heart rate, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, activity level, weight management, respiration rate, medication adherence, sleep patterns, and oxygen levels, the suggested Remote Patient Monitor Model (RPMM) attains a noteworthy accuracy of 97.

Magnetic Resonance Imagery Findings in Androgen Insensitivity: A case series.

Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a sex-development disorder resulting from mutations in the androgen receptor. In its complete form, patients are genetically male but phenotypically female, presenting with primary amenorrhea. We report three cases of AIS highlighting the multifaceted role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for presurgical planning by evaluating location and type of gonads and detecting complications.

Role of Immediate Pre-Operative Tympanometry in Cochlear Implantation: MERF Protocol and Experience.

(1) To study the association between an immediate pre-operative tympanometric profile in patients undergoing cochlear implantation with their intraoperative findings. (2) To analyse the intraoperative middle ear findings that require a staged cochlear implantation in patients presenting with a B-type tympanogram. (3) To study the complications in this group of patients during the 1-year follow-up.

Rare histologic presentation of pleomorphic adenoma: A diagnostic dilemma.

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common benign salivary gland tumor deriving its name from varied morphological patterns in histopathology. The presence of chondromyxoid stroma in histopathology is characteristic of pleomorphic adenoma. Cellular variants without characteristic chondromyxoid stroma are rare and often pose a diagnostic challenge.
