Background/objectives: Among the developmental sciences, discovery in neuroscience has underpinned research innovations and made a significant contribution to knowledge translation. With the growth of neuroscience discovery, policymakers and practitioner workforces have adopted 'neuro-informed' in decisions targeting the delivery of human, social, and economic wellbeing.
Methods: In this scoping review, we examined the use and conceptualization of neuro-informed policy and practice (NPP) over the last two decades.
Objective: Early education and care (ECEC) is part of the everyday life of most children in developed economies presenting exceptional opportunity to support nutrition and ongoing food preferences. Yet, the degree to which such opportunity is captured in policy-driven assessment and quality ratings of ECEC services is unknown.
Design: Abductive thematic analysis was conducted, guided by key domains of knowledge in nutrition literature and examining identified themes within these domains.
Background: Mucosal barrier injury central line-associated bloodstream infections (MBI-CLABSIs) remain a challenge among the pediatric cancer population. These infections commonly occur by oral or gastrointestinal (GI) bacteria translocating through impaired gut or oral mucosa. Although strategies to prevent gut MBI-CLABSIs are well characterized, oral pathogen prevention strategies are lacking.

Objective: To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to examine associations of screen use contexts in early childhood with cognitive and psychosocial outcomes.
Data Sources: PsycINFO, Embase, MEDLINE Ovid, ProQuest, CINAHL, Web of Science, and Scopus were searched from inception to December 31, 2023.
The aim of this study was to investigate sleep-wake behavior and gain insights into perceived impairment (sleep, fatigue, and cognitive function) of athletes competing in two international multi-day adventure races. Twenty-four athletes took part across two independent adventure races: Queensland, Australia and Alaska, USA. Individual sleep periods were determined via actigraphy, and racers self-reported their perceived sleep disturbances, sleep impairment, fatigue and cognitive function.
