Elevated prostate-specific antigen in Paget's disease.

A 70-year-old man diagnosed with acinar adenocarcinoma prostate (Gleason score 4 + 4 = 8) underwent bone scintigraphy due to high serum prostate-specific antigen level (224 ng/mL; normal <4 ng/mL). Bone scan revealed moderately increased diffuse tracer uptake in the right hemipelvis, while the rest of the scan appeared normal, leading to suspicion of Paget's disease. Gallium-68-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography-computed tomography scan (CT) showed a PSMA-avid lesion in the left lobe of the prostate, with no PSMA uptake in the areas of diffuse sclerosis in the right hemipelvis, as seen on CT.

Localization of Pyelonephritis by Ga-FAPI PET CT.

Fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI) is a quinoline-based membrane-bound glycoprotein enzyme that is not usually expressed in normal adult tissues, except for the myometrium and sometimes the pancreas. Its expression increases in inflammation and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF). As FAPI is a new molecule with a promising future, presented here is a case report of uncontrolled diabetes with abdominal pain that showed features of inflammation in the kidneys.

Localization of acute pyelonephritis in pyrexia of unknown origin using FDG PET/CT.

Objectives: Acute pyelonephritis presents with high-grade fever, dysuria, flank pain, leukocytosis, and microscopic hematuria. Urine culture aids in the diagnosis of this infection. It can be complicated or uncomplicated.

False-positive FDG PET CT Scan in Vertebral Hemangioma.

FDG PET CT scan is considered to be a sensitive tool to detect skeletal metastasis in known malignancies. However, it's high sensitivity and low specificity may account for false positive diagnosis in cases of trauma, infection, inflammation and other benign conditions. Skeletal hemangioma is one of the common benign conditions which are typically ametabolic on FDG PET CT with no uptake on bone scan.

A rare case of triple thyroid ectopia.

Various anomalies of thyro-glossal duct have been described, in which the duct may form a cyst or may present as a solid nodule to form an ectopic gland. The ectopic gland can develop along the tract of the duct to give rise to ectopic lingual, sublingual (pre-hyoid) or sub-hyoid (pyramidal) gland, with or without normal pre-tracheal thyroid gland.There are a few reports of double ectopia of thyroid but triple ectopia of thyroid is extremely rare.
