Hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA integration into the host cell genome is reportedly a major cause of liver cancer, and a source of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). High HBsAg levels can alter immune responses which therefore contributes to the progression of HBV-related disease. However, to what extent integration leads to the persistent circulating HBsAg is unclear.

Background: Hand hygiene is a critical component of infection prevention in healthcare settings. Innovative strategies are required to enhance hand hygiene practices among patients and healthcare workers (HCWs).
Methods: This study was conducted at the Chemotherapy Day Center of Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong.
Introduction And Importance: Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LC) is an uncommon but severe complication of advanced esophageal adenocarcinoma. Typically diagnosed through MRI and cerebrospinal fluid analysis, LC carries a poor prognosis despite aggressive management.
Case Presentation: A 64-year-old male with a history of coronary artery disease, diabetes, and other comorbidities presented with progressive dysphagia.
Rational reforming of metal oxide has a potential importance to modulate their inherent properties toward appealing characteristics for various applications. Here, we present a detailed fundamental study of the proton migration phenomena between mediums and propose the methodology for controllable metal oxide hydrogenation through galvanic reactions with metallic cation under ambient atmosphere. As a proof of concept for hydrogenation, we study the role of proton adoption on the structural properties of molybdenum trioxide, as a representative, and its impact on redox characteristics in Li-ion battery (LiB) systems using electrochemical experiments and first-principles calculation.
