[Epithelioid leiomyoma of the stomach--its current diagnosis].

A case of a 62-years-old woman with mobile tumor in the upper abdomen is reported. With the contemporary methods of examination, including percutaneous thin needle biopsy, the diagnosis of epithelioid leiomyoma of the stomach was established. The patient was successfully treated surgically.

[Changes in the gastric mucosa of ulcer patients with a reflux syndrome].

To 254 patients with active peptic ulcer 302 esophageal and 438 gastric endoscopic biopsies were performed and studied histologically. The patients were classified into 2 groups with and without (control group) reflux syndrome. The histological examination established atrophic changes in the antral mucosa in 58.

[Actinomycosis of the liver].

A case of a 61-years-old man, diabetic, drinking systematically, with primary liver actinomycosis is presented. The clinical course was that of septic cholangiohepatitis leading to liver and renal failure and death of infectious-toxic shock. The diagnosis was proved at autopsy.

[Secretory gastric function and the development of reflux esophagitis in peptic ulcer].

129 patients with peptic ulcer in the acute stage of the disease were studied clinically, roentgenologically, endoscopically and morphologically. The patients were classified into two groups--with or without dyspeptic syndrome. The gastric acidity was examined by the fractionary titration method with pentagastrin as stimulant, Reflux-esophagitis was found in patients with hyperacidity as well as in patients with normal and hypoacidity.
