Article Synopsis
  • CRISPR/Cas9 is widely used for genome editing to study gene function and enhance traits in plants, but its specificity in certain seed and clonally propagated species hasn't been thoroughly examined.
  • Seven potato and nine camelina plants with stable Cas9 edits were analyzed for on-target and off-target effects using advanced genome sequencing.
  • The study found mainly mosaic somatic edits and transgenerational editing in camelina, with minimal off-target activity, which is crucial for understanding the safety and effectiveness of genome editing in food crops.

Pulse crops have become more important in food production and consumption systems for the transition towards sustainability. We present an agroecological dataset from 304 samples from 12 legume field trials in five locations across three countries in the Mediterranean. The field trials were established in the seasons 2021/22 and 2022/23 and tested different lentil or chickpea cultivars, inoculants, intercropping and weeding regimes.

Background: Principles of safe cholecystectomy include dissection of the hepatocystic triangle and identification of the bilio-vascular structures to achieve critical view of safety. The aim of the present study was to document the variations in anatomical landmarks and bilio-vascular structures exposed during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Methods: All consecutive patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy were included in the study.
