Design, synthesis, and anti-mycobacterial evaluation of 1,8-naphthyridine-3-carbonitrile analogues.

Twenty-eight compounds, , 1,8-naphthyridine-3-carbonitrile (ANC and ANA) derivatives, were designed and synthesized through a molecular hybridization approach. The structures of these compounds were analyzed and confirmed using H NMR, C NMR, LCMS, and elemental analyses. The synthesized compounds were evaluated by testing for their effectiveness against tuberculosis using the MABA assay, targeting the H37Rv strain.

Does Psychosocial Impact of Dental Aesthetics Questionnaire (PIDAQ) reflect the impact of malocclusion on facial aesthetics?

Introduction: Malocclusion is presumed to have adverse effects on dental and facial attractiveness, leading to deleterious psychosocial impact and Quality of life(QoL) of the individual. The Psychosocial Impact of Dental Aesthetic Questionnaire (PIDAQ) has proved to be effective for assessment of psychosocial impact of malocclusion on dental aesthetics, but it's effectiveness for assessing facial aesthetics is unknown.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of PIDAQ on its ability to reflect the psychosocial impact of malocclusion on facial attractiveness, using the Facial Aesthetic index (FAI) after its translation and validation in the regional language.

Delivery room care and neonatal resuscitation while on intact placental circulation: an open-label, single-arm study.

Objective: To assess feasibility, safety, usability and learnability of delivery room care and resuscitation with intact placental circulation (RIPC) at mother's bedside.

Materials And Methods: We included neonates ≥24 weeks GA after parental consent. Both in vigorous and babies requiring resuscitation, appropriate steps of resuscitation were provided with intact cord till 3 min using RIPC warmer.
