Introduction: The biomedical potential of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) synthesized with Zingiber officinale and Ocimum gratissimum herbal formulation was investigated in this study. The study aims to reveal their applications in various biomedical fields. The study evaluates the antioxidant, thrombolytic, and antimicrobial potential of Zingiber officinale and Ocimum gratissimum herbal formulation-mediated Ag NPs.

Using a one-step hydrothermal synthesis method, carbon dots derived from (BHCD) were fabricated and thoroughly characterized through XRD, TEM, FTIR, CHNS, UV-visible, and PL spectroscopy analyses. Under UV illumination, these plant-based carbon dots demonstrated exceptional water solubility, notable photo stability, and a high quantum yield of 40.

We compared treatment patterns and HRQoL in African American (AA) and non-AA men undergoing active surveillance (AS), radical prostatectomy (RP), or radiation (XRT).
Methods: Men diagnosed with PCa from 2007-2017 in the Center for Prostate Disease Research Database were identified.
Within the text we describe a 66-year-old male with a history of prostate cancer (PCa), incidentally found to have left-sided hydronephrosis and a left ureteral lesion. Ureteroscopy was employed to visualize the lesion, a biopsy was taken, and a double J stent was placed. The lesion was of prostatic origin and the patient was subsequently started on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).
