Background: In triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients receiving adjuvant capecitabine, the impact of HER2 expression on survival outcomes is unclear.
Methods: Between June 2017 and December 2023, 112 patients with TNBC who received adjuvant capecitabine due to residual masses after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in three hospitals were identified. HER2 is analyzed through immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or in situ hybridization in the core biopsy and/or post-surgical histopathologies.
Monensin is an ionophore antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces cinnamonensis with very strong antibacterial and antiparasitic effects. Although monensin is known to exhibit anticancer activity in different cancer types, there are a very limited number of studies on its anti-inflammatory effects in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. The aim of this study was to investigate the TLR4/IRF3-mediated antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects of monensin in colorectal cancer cells.

In addition, there is no study investigating the anti-cancer effect of erianin on neuroblastoma cells.
Objective: The aim of the study is to investigate the anticancer effect of erianin and the underlying mechanism of this effect on SH-SY5Y cells.
Multifunctional polymer composite gels have attracted attention because of their high thermal stability, conductivity, mechanical properties, and fast optical response. To enable the simultaneous incorporation of all these different functions into composite gels, the best doping material alternatives are two-dimensional (2D) materials, especially transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD), which have been used in so many applications recently, such as energy storage units, opto-electronic devices and catalysis. They have the capacity to regulate optical, electronic and mechanical properties of basic molecular hydrogels when incorporated into them.

A high-performance chromatography-photodiode array detection (HPLC-PAD) method has been developed and validated for the identification and quantification of ten phthalates; diethyl phthalate (DEP), diallyl phthalate (DAP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), dihexyl phthalate (DHP), dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP), di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DOP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP) and diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP) in children's PVC toys. The phthalates were extracted from PVC toy sample using ultrasonic extraction with methanol. Quantification analysis was achieved by gradient elution mode using reversed-phase ODS-4 C column with PAD detection at 226 nm.
