Background: Restorative solutions designed for edentulous patients such as dentures and their accompanying denture adhesives operate in the complex and dynamic environment represented by human oral physiology. Developing material models accounting for the viscoelastic behavior of denture adhesives can facilitate their further optimization within that unique physiological environment. This study aims to statistically quantify the degree of significance of three physiological variables - namely: temperature, adhesive swelling, and pH - on denture adhesive mechanical behavior.

Cluster materials of the composition AdR (Ad = adamantane, R = organic substituent) and [(RT)E] (R = organic substituent; T = Si, Ge, Sn; and E = S, Se, Te) exhibit directional white light emission or produce second harmonics when irradiated with a continuous wave infrared laser source. The nature of the nonlinear optical properties correlates with the macroscopic structures of the cluster materials. The desired white light emission predominantly occurs in amorphous materials.

This study presents a novel MRI coil design approach explicitly tailored for chick embryo measurements, with the primary objective of improving sensitivity and coverage. The limitations posed by conventional birdcage coils were addressed by introducing a curvature feature into a standard coil. The performance of the modified coil was assessed using EM simulations and experimental evaluations, which were subsequently validated using a 7 T MRI scanner.
