Introduction: The rarest form of renal ectopia, the thoracic kidney, has been documented in only about 200 cases worldwide. There are four recognized causes of congenital thoracic renal ectopia: renal ectopia with an intact diaphragm, diaphragmatic eventration, diaphragmatic hernia, and traumatic diaphragmatic rupture. This condition often presents as an incidental finding in asymptomatic patients.

Impact of bone quality on surgical decision-making in total hip arthroplasty: a qualitative analysis in the UK.

Introduction: For total hip arthroplasty (THA) to be successful, surgeons need to make several decisions ranging from implant choice to impaction force. It is unclear, however, whether and how bone quality affects surgeon's decision-making and how surgeons evaluate bone quality.

Objectives: This inductive/deductive qualitative hybrid study aims to explore the impact of bone quality on the decision-making of surgeons performing elective primary THA.

Lysosomal enzymes and high accumulation of lipid droplets are associated with breast cancer. The lysosomes and lipid droplets were monitored by BODIPYs, acting as autophagy activators in cancer cells. and were synthesized and characterized by Mass, UV-visible, fluorescence, and NMR spectroscopies.

Predicting Performance in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Part II Certification Oral Examination Based On Milestone Ratings.

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) introduced the Milestones to document learner development within a competency-based framework. On the other hand, board certifying examinations serve as a summative evaluation of a learner's readiness for independent medical practice. Scores in Part I of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) examination, which measures medical knowledge, has been shown to correlate only with Milestones ratings in medical knowledge.

Technological monitoring of motor parameters to assess multidimensional frailty of older people in the PRO-HOME project.

An interconnected system employing Kinect Azure and Fitbit Sense for continuous and non-intrusive data collection was used in the PRO-HOME protected discharge program, aiming at monitoring functional and clinical parameters in hospitalized older patients at different risks of frailty. The present study shows the findings on 30 older patients included in the PRO-HOME project. The Fitbit Sense recorded the mean daily and hourly number of steps, mean daily walked distance, and time spent inactive.
