Background: Post-COVID condition (PCC) is characterized by persisting symptoms after the resolution of acute COVID-19. Remdesivir (RDV), a broad-spectrum antiviral drug, has been widely used in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 requiring oxygen therapy. We aimed to evaluate the effects of RDV on PCC by assessing patient-reported and functional outcomes.

Long COVID can develop at any patient; however, several studies suggest that the development of Long Covid syndrome may be linked to severity of acute illness. Some of the risk factors are hospitalization (with mechanical ventilation), Intensive Care Unit admission, age (over 50 years), gender (female) and comorbidities.

Remdesivir (RDV) is among the few antiviral medications with confirmed efficacy for specific patient groups. However, real-world data on long-term outcomes for a short treatment course are scarce.

Since macroalgae cultivation does not compete with land-based food crops for the necessary arable land or fresh water, it can increase the possibilities of sustainably harvested biomass. New technologies permit even land-based growing of marine macroalgae, besides the more common coastal or offshore cultivation.

To better understand rater variance, this study investigated how various raters, observing the same performance, perceived relationships amongst different noncognitive attributes measured in performance assessments.
Method: Medical admissions data from a Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) used at one Canadian medical school were collected and subsequently analyzed using the Many Facet Rasch Model (MFRM) and hierarchical clustering.
