Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of red clover isoflavones on menopausal symptoms and the lipid profile in menopausal females.
Methods: This study included postmenopausal women with dyslipidemia. The red clover group ( = 39) received 40 mg isoflavone red clover capsule twice daily for 6 months, while placebo ( = 36) was 40 mg starch capsule twice daily.
Variable Fragment Length Allele-Specific Polymerase Chain Reaction (VFLASP) and Amplification Refractory Mutation System (ARMS) are reliable methods for detecting allelic variations resulting from single base changes within the genome. Due to their widespread application, allele variations caused by Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) can be readily detected using allele-specific primers. In the context of the current study, VFLASP was combined with ARMS method as a novel strategy to enhance the efficacy of both techniques.

Deficiency of the vascular extracellular matrix protein MFAP4 (microfibrillar-associated protein 4) has previously been observed as protective against aberrant arterial remodeling. We hypothesized that MFAP4-deficiency would reduce age- and hypertension-dependent arterial changes in extracellular matrix composition and stiffening.

Background: Acute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory disease of the pancreas, the frequency of which increases in childhood.
Aim: To investigate the demographic, etiological, clinical, laboratory, and radiological characteristics of children followed up with the diagnosis of AP. The study also included genetic studies of recurrent cases.
Invasive arterial cannulation is a widely used method in intensive care units and operating rooms. However it has potential complications such as thrombosis, peripheral embolism, hematoma formation, and infection. The Masimo Root Radical-7 Pulse CO-Oximeter® (Masimo Corporation, Irvine, CA, USA) is a non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring device that measures perfusion index and pleth variability index, provides guidance to anaesthesiologists in the cases where hemodynamic fluctuations are expected.
