Introduction Indocyanine Green (ICG) fluorescence guided surgery (FGS) is reported extensively in adult operations, but its safety and applications in Pediatric populations remain to be comprehensively understood. The dose, administration protocols and intraoperative imaging benefits in Pediatric hepatobiliary operations are not clear. Objectives To identify the feasibility and applications of ICG Fluorescence Guided Surgery (FGS) in hepatobiliary surgeries (for biliary atresia, choledochal cyst, and cholelithiasis) in children.

Parotid enlargement due to common krait (Bungarus caeruleus) envenomation: a case series.

We describe a series of five patients with bilateral parotid enlargement as a sequalae to envenomation by the common krait (Bungarus caeruleus). Fine-needle aspiration cytology of the parotid gland was performed in four cases. The cytology revealed a mild lymphocytic inflammatory response in a red blood cell mixed proteinaceous background.

Whole Exome Sequencing in a Population of Fetuses With Structural Anomalies.

Objective: To investigate the exome sequencing (ES) detection rate among fetuses with congenital anomalies and describe the rates in the setting of multiple versus isolated anomalies, perinatal autopsy, and family history of a previously affected child.

Methods: A single-center retrospective chart review was conducted on 397 anomalous fetuses that underwent ES from May 2012 through December 2023. Medical record review included demographics, imaging, and genetic testing.

Comprehensive characterization of MCL-1 in patients with colorectal cancer: Expression, molecular profiles, and outcomes.

Myeloid cell leukemia 1 (MCL-1) is a member of the B-cell lymphoma 2 protein family and has anti-apoptotic functions. Deregulation of MCL-1 has been reported in several cancers, including lung and breast cancer. In the present study, the association of MCL-1 expression with molecular features in colorectal cancer (CRC) has been highlighted.

Diflunisal attenuates acute inflammatory responses through inhibition of NF-κB signaling pathway in Staphylococcus aureus-induced mastitis of lactating mouse model.

The cure rate of Staphylococcus aureus mastitis by conventional antibiotic therapy is very poor. Diflunisal (DIF), a difluorophenol derivative of salicylic acid, is reported to have strong anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects against S. aureus infection.
