Background: Effective communication is a critical and fundamental element of a successful medical practice and exerts a substantial influence on patient contentment, adherence, and disease outcome. This study was planned to identify domains for improvement in doctor-patient communication to enhance good practices in the future.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out involving 500 randomly selected samples of clinicians from government or private medical colleges across India.
Background: With increased early detection efforts, surgery for early-stage lung cancer is expected to rise. Pafolacianine is the first FDA approved targeted optical imaging agent indicated as an adjunct for intraoperative identification of malignant and nonmalignant pulmonary lesions in adult patients with known or suspected cancer in the lung.
Methods: This is a retrospective review of the malignant and nonmalignant lesions identified by pafolacianine with intraoperative molecular imaging (IMI) in the multi-center Phase 2 and Phase 3 ELUCIDATE clinical trials.
The purpose of this article is to classify hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) based on imaging and to evaluate the role of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation (MWA) in the management of type 2 exophytic HCC. Cisplatin (CisPt) is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent. However, its nephrotoxic effects pose significant risks, particularly for the development of acute kidney injury (AKI) and potential progression to chronic kidney disease (CKD). The present study investigates the impact of non-lethal exposure of CisPt to immortalized human renal epithelial precursor TERT cells (HRTPT cells) that co-express PROM1 and CD24, markers characteristic of renal progenitor cells.
