Introduction: Managing clinical trials is a complex process requiring careful integration of human, technology, compliance, and operations for success. We collaborated with experts to develop a multi-axial Clinical Trials Management Ecosystem (CTME) maturity model (MM) to help institutions identify best practices for CTME capabilities.
Methods: A working group of research informaticists was established.
Introduction: Liver cancer is considered one of the most common types of cancer and a major cause of ephemerality worldwide having a higher prevalence rate in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. The alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is a serum glycoprotein that belongs to a class of oncodevelopmental proteins and is also involved in tumor formation.
Methods: In the current effort, a hybrid approach of virtual screening followed by pharmacophore generation and molecular dynamic simulation analyses were performed.
We present measurements of the atmospheric depth of the shower maximum X_{max}, inferred for the first time on an event-by-event level using the surface detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory. Using deep learning, we were able to extend measurements of the X_{max} distributions up to energies of 100 EeV (10^{20} eV), not yet revealed by current measurements, providing new insights into the mass composition of cosmic rays at extreme energies. Gaining a 10-fold increase in statistics compared to the fluorescence detector data, we find evidence that the rate of change of the average X_{max} with the logarithm of energy features three breaks at 6.

Purpose: Cochlear implants (CIs) have improved the quality of life for many children with severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss. Despite the reported CI benefits of improved speech recognition, speech intelligibility, and spoken language processing, large individual differences in speech and language outcomes are still consistently reported in the literature. The enormous variability in CI outcomes has made it challenging to predict which children may be at high risk for limited benefits and how potential risk factors can be improved with interventions.
