The article is devoted to the problem of efficacy of the hepatic insufficiency (HI) prophylaxis and treatment methods in obturation jaundice. The role of energy-depending processes and the oxygen deficiency in tissues in the HI occurrence and progressing, the possibilities of medicinal correction of such disorders were studied up. The authors follow the concept of expediency of the oxygen-bearing preparations, which improve the erythrocytes function and oxygen delivery to the tissues in combination with miniinvasive decompression of bilioefferent ways, incorporation into the treatment complex of HI of mechanic genesis.

Efficacy of application of oxygen-transporting preparations in the treatment of obturation jaundice was studied. In experimental conditions while modelling obturation jaundice in animals there were revealed signs of failure of the oxygen delivery to hepatic cells, shown by significant lowering of the oxygen pressure (pO2) in hepatic tissue. To compensate such revealed disorders it is expedient to apply preparations, which owe oxygen-transporting function, such as perftoran or ozonized isotonic solution of sodium chloride.

Efficacy of the prophylaxis and treatment methods for hepatic insufficiency in obstructive jaundice was studied. The role of an energy-dependent processes and the tissue deficit of oxygen in the hepatic insufficiency occurrence and progress, possibility of these disorders medicinal correction was delineated. The expediency of introduction of preparations, improving the erythrocytes function and the oxygen delivery to tissues in conjunction with miniinvasive biliary decompression, in therapeutic complex for hepatic insufficiency of mechanical nature was noted.

Stability of heterodimers of human glycoprotein hormones with gonadotropic and thyrotropic activities in sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) under non-reducing conditions at low temperature permits to resolve the native molecules of these hormones in SDS-PAG and to distinguish from their dissociated subunits by electrophoretical mobility. The analysis of dimers and alpha-, beta-subunits in one polyacrylamide gel allows to detect certain human glycoprotein hormones and to study some of their physico-chemical properties. Using two polyclonal antisera against human LH and FSH by the Western blot immunoassay it was shown that heterodimers as well as alpha and beta subunits after SDS-PAGE retain antigenic activity of native hormones.

The main antigen and immunogen of canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) has been purified to near homogeneity from cultural fluid of a CAV-1-infected primary cell culture by hydrophobic and anion-exchange chromatography. The hexon native form (trimer) was shown to be resistant against denaturation by SDS under conditions of SDS-PAGE performed without heating the samples. The monomer chain of the CAV-1 hexon was apparently identical in terms of electrophoretic mobility with that of the previously sequenced BAV-3 hexon polypeptide (103 kDA).
