This should be taken into account by designers of bio-dosimeters.

Biodosimetrical estimation of radiation body burden is based on the counting of chromosomal aberration frequency in lymphocytes of the peripheral blood. This counting was made during a period of time after radiation. However, this frequency differs from counterpart, measured immediately after irradiation.
