Data on microbial fouling of various synthetic polymer materials, including those used in space technology, are summarized. It has been established that the dominant groups of microbiota of polymer fouling are the genera of mitosporous fungi Aspergillus, Penicillium, Alternaria, Trichoderma. The enzymatic properties of fungal strains from the collection of microbial cultures of the Microbial Depository Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia were studied.

This research describes the optimal conditions of sample processing of biological liquids, allowing to extract the components (ricinine and ricinoleic acid) of castor seeds. The recommended analysis conditions allow to perform research for 15 minutes by high resolution mass spectrometry method combined with high-value liquid chromatography on a chromato-mass spectrometer to detect ricinine and ricinoleic acid.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe effects of dark -(Ev=0 lux) and low-background radiation (BGR), where R<1μRongen/h, on physicochemical properties (specific electrical conductivity, heat fusion, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and oxygen contents) of distilled water (DW) and physiological solution (PS) at 4°C and 18°C were studied. The incubation of DW and PS samples in dark and in low BGR (under dark) medium at 4°C and 18°C brings to changes of their physicochemical properties compared with DW and PS samples incubated in light and normal BGR condition (Ev=500-550 lux and R=17 μRoentgen/h). The observed changes of DW and PS properties depended on their initial temperature, density and ionic composition.

The thermal effect of MMW irradiation appeared only after the first minute of irradiation, while the IR heating started from the first minute of irradiation.
