A 16-month longitudinal investigation of risk and protective factors for mental health outcomes throughout three national lockdowns and a mass vaccination campaign: Evidence from a weighted Israeli sample during COVID-19.

Background: COVID-19 is an ongoing global crisis, with a multitude of factors that affect mental health worldwide. We explored potential predictors for the emergence and maintenance of depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) in the general population in Israel.

Methods: Across the span of 16 months, 2478 people completed a repeated self-report survey which inquired psychiatric symptoms and pandemic related stress factors (PRSF).

German norms for semantic typicality, age of acquisition, and concept familiarity.

The present study introduces the first substantial German database with norms for semantic typicality, age of acquisition, and concept familiarity for 824 exemplars of 11 semantic categories, including four natural (ANIMALS, BIRDS, FRUITS,: and VEGETABLES: ) and five man-made (CLOTHING, FURNITURE, VEHICLES, TOOLS: , and MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: ) categories, as well as PROFESSIONS: and SPORTS: . Each category exemplar in the database was collected empirically in an exemplar generation study. For each category exemplar, norms for semantic typicality, estimated age of acquisition, and concept familiarity were gathered in three different rating studies.

Survival and prognostic factors in chondrosarcoma: results in 115 patients with long-term follow-up.

Background And Purpose: There have been few long-term studies on the outcome of chondrosarcoma and the findings regarding prognostic factors are controversial. We examined a homogeneous group of patients with primary central chondrosarcoma of bone who were treated according to a uniform surgical protocol at our institution, in order to determine the factors that influence survival and identify potential improvements to our therapeutic algorithm.

Patients And Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 115 patients with primary central chondrosarcoma of bone who presented with localized disease and who had a minimum follow-up of 5 years after diagnosis.

[The current state of the art of chemotherapy of penile cancer: results of a nationwide survey of German clinics].

Introduction: The prognosis for advanced penile carcinomas is extremely poor. Due to the low response rates and relevant side effects of current chemotherapy regimens, several attempts have been made to improve chemotherapy in recent years. In a retrospective survey the current state of the art of chemotherapy for penile carcinoma in Germany was analysed.
