Recurring Giant Conjunctival Cyst Effectively Treated With 20% Trichloroacetic Acid.

Giant conjunctival cysts, though rare, can cause significant discomfort and functional impairment due to their size as well as their potential for rupture and recurrence. We report the case of a 51-year-old female who presented with a recurrent giant conjunctival cyst in her left eye, experiencing considerable discomfort and pain upon eye movement. The cyst, located in the left eye, had previously recurred after surgical excision, though visual acuity remained 20/20 bilaterally.

Supporting cardiomyopathy screening behavior in adult survivors of childhood cancer: an eHealth motivational interviewing-framed pilot intervention.

Purpose: The Healthy Hearts pilot study evaluated the effect of an eHealth motivational interviewing-framed intervention on cardiomyopathy screening-related knowledge, health beliefs, intrinsic motivation, and behavioral action steps among adult survivors of childhood cancer.

Methods: We consented N = 73 survivors to participate in a single-arm pilot study. Participants completed an online baseline survey (n = 68) assessing knowledge, health beliefs, and intrinsic motivation related to cancer therapy-induced cardiomyopathy and screening echocardiograms.

In the aim of designing and developing a novel saponin-based adjuvant system, we combined the QS21 saponin with low microgram amounts of the fully synthetic TLR4 agonist, E6020, in cholesterol-containing liposomes. The resulting adjuvant system, termed SPA14, appeared as a long-term stable and homogeneous suspension of mostly unilamellar and a few multilamellar vesicles, with an average hydrodynamic diameter of 93 nm, when formulated in citrate buffer at pH 6.0-6.

Centering intersectional breast cancer screening experiences among black, Latina, and white women: a qualitative analysis.

Objective: Mammography screening guidelines in the United States highlight the importance of informing and involving women when making their breast cancer screening decisions. However, the complexity of interpreting and applying these population-level guidelines can contribute to patient burden. Patient-centered communication strategies can alleviate patient burden, but few consider perspectives from racially and ethnically marginalized populations.
