To overcome the aquafeed challenges for aquaculture in Iran, the world's largest rainbow trout producer, the nutrient digestibility and retention of eight rendered poultry by-products, and two plant protein sources were investigated. The test ingredients were added to a casein-based semipurified reference diet as control diet and fed to juvenile rainbow trout in three runs. During the experimental runs, test ingredients were added to the control diet in a ratio of 30 : 70.

Aqueous alkali-ion batteries are gaining traction as a low-cost, sustainable alternative to conventional organic lithium-ion batteries. However, the rapid degradation of commonly used electrode materials, such as Prussian Blue Analogs and carbonyl-based organic compounds, continues to challenge the economic viability of these devices. While stability issues can be addressed by employing highly concentrated water-in-salt electrolytes, this approach often requires expensive and, in many cases, fluorinated salts.

Article Synopsis
  • This study looked at how using reflection helps medical students communicate better with patients in online classes.
  • They compared three different types of e-learning that included video models, video reflections, or a mix of both.
  • All students did well in their reflections, but those who used video models improved the most, showing that the way you teach can make a difference in learning.

Objective: The present study investigated the efficacy of the didactic approaches of video modeling (VM, best-practice examples), video reflection (VR, problem-based approach), and the combination of both (VMR) in fostering medical communication competence in a video-based digital learning environment.

Methods: N = 126 third-year medical students who participated in the pre-post study were assigned to either the intervention groups (VM, VR, and VMR) or the wait-list control group. The efficacy of the three approaches was assessed by means of a situational judgment test (SJT) of medical communication competence.

Background: Spouses and significant others (SSOs) of public safety personnel (PSP) are affected by the risks and requirements of these occupations. Internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) provides a convenient and accessible treatment format that can be tailored to the needs of SSOs of PSP.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the initial use and client perceptions (eg, likes, helpfulness, and areas for improvement) of a self-guided, transdiagnostic ICBT course designed for Canadian SSOs of PSP and identify opportunities to further tailor ICBT for this group.
