The United Nations has implemented projects focusing on the participation of local communities in economic, social and ecological criteria in different countries. The present study aimed to assess the effects of such projects on sustainable ecosystem management indicators in the Tilabad watershed, Golestan province, Iran. The statistical population includes 99 pastoralists from 3 pastoral units, of which 80 pastoralists were selected as the sample size and sampled by stratified random sampling technique.

Essential oils are natural substances used as therapeutic agents and food preservatives to inhibit harmful microorganisms. This study aimed to assess the synergistic effect of Trachyspermum ammi essential oil and ampicillin on antibiotic-resistant gastrointestinal pathogens, including Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, Shigella flexneri, Salmonella typhimurium. Using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), the main components of T.

Article Synopsis
  • Carotenoid consumption is linked to a lower risk of chronic diseases, and genetic differences may explain varying levels of carotenoids in people's blood.
  • A study on young Caucasian adults aimed to find genetic variants related to different plasma carotenoids and included diverse ethnic replication groups to validate findings.
  • While previously identified genetic associations were replicated, no new significant associations were found, indicating a need for further research to understand individual nutritional needs for carotenoids.

Article Synopsis
  • - Glioma, particularly glioblastoma (GBM), is a highly aggressive brain cancer with the highest mortality rates among brain tumors, often becoming more invasive after initial treatment.
  • - Research has shown that noncoding RNAs, especially long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs), play significant roles in GBM development, progression, and drug resistance through epigenetic and transcriptional changes.
  • - This review discusses the specific LncRNAs (like MIR22HG, HULC, and MALAT1) that have been implicated in GBM and explores their molecular mechanisms and effects on the disease.

Understanding the neural mechanism of sensorimotor adaptation is essential to reveal how the brain learns from errors, a process driven by sensory prediction errors. While the previous literature has focused on cortical and cerebellar changes, the involvement of the thalamus has received less attention. This functional magnetic resonance imaging study aims to explore the neural substrates of learning from sensory prediction errors with an additional focus on the thalamus.
