Donor-spacer-acceptor (D-π-A) materials CAPI and CCAPI, with hybridized local and charge transfer (HLCT) emissive states, have been synthesized. The twisting D-π-A architecture promotes the partial separation of HOMO and LUMO, leading to an enhanced % CT component, and the anthracene moiety in CAPI and CCAPI increases the conjugation length, leading to an enhanced % LE component. The non-doped device with CCAPI shows the blue emission (450 nm) with maximum current efficiency ( ), power efficiency ( ), and external quantum efficiency ( ) of 16.

The incidence of Acute Leukemia (AL) subtypes varies according to geographical distribution and more predominant in developing countries. The aim here was to evaluate the usefulness of cost effective diagnostic tools in characterization of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in resource poor population. One hundred and two AL cases were diagnosed.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study successfully grew single crystals of Potassium Hydrogen Phthalate (KHP) doped with varying concentrations of the amino acid l-lysine (0.5 mol%, 1 mol%, and 2 mol%) using a slow evaporation method, leading to noticeable changes in crystal morphology.
  • - X-ray diffraction and Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the structural changes and successful incorporation of l-lysine into the KHP crystals.
  • - Thermal analysis indicated the crystal's dissociating nature, while nonlinear optical tests showed that crystals with 0.5 mol% and 1 mol% l-lysine had enhanced second harmonic generation compared to pure KHP.

By directional solidification, single crystal of Glycinium Picrate Mono Glycine (GPMG) was successfully grown by Sankaranarayanan-Ramasamy (SR) method. An optically transparent crystal of GPMG has been grown along 〈011〉 plane by a mixed solvent of acetone and double distilled water. The evaporation rate was controlled and a single crystal of 12mm diameter and 35mm length was obtained.
