The process by which a system of non-luminous bodies form around a star is fundamental to understanding the origins of our own solar system and how it fits into the context of other systems we have begun to study around other stars. Some basics of solar system formation have emerged to describe the process by which dust and gas around a newly formed star evolve into what we see today. The combination of occultation observations and the flyby observations by New Horizons of the Cold-Classical Kuiper Belt Object (CCKBO), (498958) Arrokoth, has provided essential new constraints on formation models through its three-dimensional shape.

Methods: Semi-structured interviews, guided by a topic outline, addressed disease-specific information, investigative procedures, treatments, impacts on quality of life, healthcare systems and information sources. The interviews were audio recorded, transcribed verbatim and analysed using thematic analysis.
This study assessed the susceptibility of red fox (Vulpes vulpes) and striped skunks (Mephitis mephitis) to the Delta variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Upon finding that both species were susceptible to infection and shed infectious virus, transmission potential was assessed by exposing naïve animals to infected members of their species indirectly (red fox) or directly (striped skunks). Red fox transmitted virus to conspecifics, while contact striped skunks did not become infected with the virus or develop a detectable humoral response.

Considerable effort has been extended to understanding the role wildlife may play in persistence and spread of infection. Infected cervids can spread infection to conspecifics and sympatric livestock as observed in the white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginanus) population of Michigan, USA.

Methods: In this paper, we describe the road to implementing laboratory DS in a large, not-for-profit integrated delivery network located in the western United States.
Results: Program structure, projects, challenges, and future opportunities are discussed, providing tactics and opportunities that facilities can employ to maximize their initial foray into the DS landscape.
