Purpose: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of sublingual methazolamide in patients with open-angle glaucoma (OAG) and inform future trial design.
Methods: Fourteen participants (28 eyes) aged 50 to 90 years with bilateral OAG and intraocular pressure (IOP) between 18 and 35 mmHg after medication washout were included. Participants were randomized to receive either 25 mg or 50 mg of sublingual methazolamide once daily for one week, followed by twice-daily administration during the second week.
There is an increasing demand for emerging scientists to improve their ability to communicate with public audiences, yet little research investigates the effectiveness of science communication training for graduate students. We responded to this need by developing SciWrite@URI-an interdisciplinary model for science graduate students designed around three learning outcomes based on tenets from the field of writing and rhetoric-habitual writing, multiple genres, and frequent review. SciWrite students completed courses and a science communication internship, attended writing workshops, and became tutors at a newly established Graduate Writing Center.

Here, we explore the fundamental bonding description of bridging CO in high-spin iron systems. We describe the isolation of several diiron carbonyls and related species, and elucidate their electronic structures, magnetic coupling, and characteristic structural and vibrational parameters.
