Aim: The aim of this retrospective study is to determine the level of visibility of the lingual foramen in panoramic radiography using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) as a reference tool.
Method: A total of 200 patients (111 females and 89 males) were included in the study. Cross-sectional CBCT images of the mandible in the midline were used to locate and define the orifice and diameter of each lingual canal that was detected.
Objectives: To investigate the influence of orthodontic materials on the assessment of proximal caries using periapical radiography.
Methods: Forty non-cavitated and restoration-free human premolars and molars ranging from sound teeth to teeth containing various grades of lesions were embedded with approximal contacts into silicon blocks. Periapical radiographs were obtained using combinations of two orthodontic materials (three bracket and two archwires).

Background: The aim of the study was to analyse the variations of the sella turcica and their relationship to age and gender.
Materials And Methods: The cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images of the patients who referred to Gaziantep University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology were analysed by two examiners and 200 CBCT images were evaluated retrospectively. Sella turcica shapes of individuals were described according to Axelsson's classification as either normal or with aberrations including: oblique anterior wall, double contour of the floor, sella turcica bridging, irregularity in the posterior part of the dorsum sella, and pyramidal shape of the dorsum sella.

Introduction: This research investigated whether decompression sickness (DCS) risk or severity could be reduced using drug interventions that are easier to implement and equal to or more efficacious than recompression therapy.
Methods: Using a rat model of DCS, anti-inflammatory or anticoagulant drugs, including lidocaine, aspirin (ASA), methylprednisolone (MP), alpha-phenyl-N-butylnitrone (PBN), and transsodium crocetinate (TSC) were tested to determine their effect on incidence of DCS, death, and time of symptom onset. Each treatment group consisted of approximately 40 animals that received the drug and approximately 40 controls.
