Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Functionally uncharacterized genes are an attractive repository to explore candidate oncogenes. It is demonstrated that C21orf58 displays an oncogenic role in promoting cell growth, tumorigenesis and sorafenib resistance of HCC cells by abnormal activation of STAT3 signaling.

Prevalence, awareness, and patterns of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug use among health science students in Palestine: a cross-sectional study.

Despite the widespread use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), many people lack sufficient awareness regarding their side effects and proper usage. Consequently, this study aimed to assess the knowledge, behavior, and usage patterns of NSAIDs among students enrolled in Palestinian health colleges. The study was conducted in December 2020 using a cross-sectional design, and a convenience sampling method was employed to enroll a total of 206 students.

Sensory Changes in the Ocular Surface After Pterygium Removal.

Purpose: We measure changes in ocular surface sensation after pterygium surgery with a conjunctival autograft.

Methods: This prospective, interventional study was carried out in patients, with nasal primary pterygium undergoing pterygium surgery with conjunctival autograft. Sensation was measured by applying the tip of the Cochet-Bonnet esthesiometer filament perpendicular to the ocular surface in the cornea and conjunctiva.
