Environmental conditions greatly influence the quality of tomato fruit by affecting the expression of genes, the abundance of metabolites, and the perception of sensorial attributes. In this study, a fruit transcriptome investigation, a sensory test, and a metabolomic analysis were performed to evaluate the impact of the environment on two popular tomato cultivars grown in two Italian regions. The transcriptional profile of each cultivar, cultivated in two different areas, highlighted differential expression in genes involved in pathways related to cell wall components such as pectin, lignin, and hemicellulose and sugars as well as in amino acids, phenylpropanoids, and pigment synthesis.

In addition, traceability is becoming more prominent in guiding consumers' behaviour. Yet, the latter can be considered a source of confusion, as the multiplicity of certifications and labelling systems can be overwhelming.

Adipocytes are the typical cells of adipose organ, which is composed of at least two different tissues, white and brown adipose tissue. They functionally cooperate, interconverting each other under physiological conditions, but differ in their anatomy, physiology, and endocrine functions.

However, the gradual degradation of biological valve leaflets in transcatheter heart valves (THV) presents significant challenges for this extension. This study aimed to establish a multiphysics computational framework to analyze structural and flow measurements of TAVI and evaluate the integration of optical fiber and photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors for monitoring valve function.
