Differential attainment in assessment of postgraduate surgical trainees: a scoping review.

Introduction: Solving disparities in assessments is crucial to a successful surgical training programme. The first step in levelling these inequalities is recognising in what contexts they occur, and what protected characteristics are potentially implicated.

Methods: This scoping review was based on Arksey & O'Malley's guiding principles.

Background: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection for ankle osteoarthritis (OA) treatment showed contradictory results. This review was aimed to pool individual studies which assessed the efficacy of PRP for ankle OA treatment.

Methods: This study was conducted following the preferred report items of systematic review and meta-analysis guideline.

Reliability improvement in Hallux Valgus measurement using weight-Bearing CT scan.

Radiographic assessment of hallux valgus is an essential process. Residual rotational deformity was shown associated with higher recurrent rate. This study aims to comprehensively assess reliability of measurement of various parameters from plain films and weight-bearing CT scan.

The Surgical Treatment of Bilateral Accessory Extensor Carpi Ulnaris: Case Report and Literature Review.

Several abnormal pathologies, such as inflammation or degenerative change, can be causes of ulnar-sided wrist pain. This study demonstrated bilateral accessory extensor carpi ulnaris found in a patient who presented with bilateral wrist pain. The patient was initially treated with all conventional methods but failed to improve.

Comparison of outcome between operative treatment and constraint-induced movement therapy for forearm and wrist deformities in cerebral palsy. A randomized controlled trial.

Several treatment strategies for upper extremity deformities in cerebral palsy have been studied for their effectiveness in terms of function and quality of life. There are a few comparative studies between nonoperative and operative management for upper extremity deformities. This study aimed to compare the outcomes between conservative methods using constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) and operative methods using pronator teres rerouting, flexor carpi ulnaris transfer to extensor carpi radialis brevis (FCU transfer to ECRB) and fractional lengthening in cerebral palsy patients with forearm pronation and wrist flexion contracture.
