Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a prevalent and escalating neurodegenerative disorder with significant societal implications. Despite being considered a proteinopathy, in which the aggregation of α-synuclein is the main pathological change, the intricacies of PD initiation remain elusive. Recent evidence suggests a potential link between gut microbiota and PD initiation, emphasizing the need to explore the effects of microbiota-derived molecules on neuronal cells.

Despite controversy, the 'ventricular theory' remains the most plausible hypothesis to explain RS in susceptible patients. Certain assumptions regarding the geometry and function of the heart are essential in supporting this theory.

Our study aims to evaluate the enamel thickness in the incisal, middle, and cervical portions of the labial surface of the upper central incisors using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). This imaging method provides detailed and accurate three-dimensional images with a low radiation dose, allowing an accurate assessment of enamel thickness.

Additionally, it assesses the influence of stress factors on the development of enamel defects.
Methods: Conducted from July to September 2024, this study involved 57 patients aged 6 to 11 from an urban setting, divided into two groups: 32 with MIH and 25 controls, selected based on criteria of mixed dentition without systemic pathology or chronic medication.
