Aims: We aimed to determine the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) and to identify clinical factors associated with their use in patients with heart failure (HF) in a real-life setting.

Methods: Real-world data on Empagliflozin and Dapagliflozin use in patients with HEART failure: The RED-HEART study is a multicentre, cross-sectional and observational study that included HF patients in the outpatient setting regardless of ejection fraction from 19 cardiology centres between August 2023 and December 2023.

Results: The study population consisted of 1923 patients with HF, predominantly men (61.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on the rare occurrence of primary mesenchymal breast tumors, which are less common than epithelial tumors, aiming to detail their histomorphological and clinicoradiological characteristics.
  • Out of 26 cases studied between 2010 and 2023, over half were benign (like hemangiomas and lipomas), while nearly half were malignant, with findings like angiosarcoma being observed.
  • The conclusion emphasizes that primary breast sarcomas are very rare and recommend thorough sampling and examination of clinical and radiological data to rule out phyllodes tumors or metastasis when identifying mesenchymal tumors.

Objective: When the clinical presentation is related to the metastatic mass and a radiologically solitary tumor focus is detected, especially in cases where clinical information is not taken into account or is insufficient, if a possible metastatic neoplasia is not kept in mind then it is possible to evaluate the tumor as a primary breast neoplasm. In this study, it is aimed to present our cases of non-hematopoietic metastatic neoplasms and to evaluate the clinicopathological features that may aid in distinguishing metastatic from primary neoplasms.

Material And Methods: This study includes cases diagnosed with metastatic non-hematopoietic breast neoplasm in breast resection materials in our center, between the years 2010-2023.

A limited number of publications are available in the literature regarding laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy with vaginal extraction (LLDN-VE) for kidney transplantation. The aim of this study was to compare long-term recipient outcomes of standard laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy (S-LLDN) and LLDN-VE. A total of 652 patients [119 LLDN-VE (18.

Landau-level spectroscopy, the optical analysis of electrons in materials subject to a strong magnetic field, is a versatile probe of the electronic band structure and has been successfully used in the identification of novel states of matter such as Dirac electrons, topological materials or Weyl semimetals. The latter arise from a complex interplay between crystal symmetry, spin-orbit interaction, and inverse ordering of electronic bands. Here, we report on unusual Landau-level transitions in the monopnictide TaP that decrease in energy with increasing magnetic field.
