Background: Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is the most common form of preinvasive breast cancer, with 5-10% of cases progressing into invasive disease. Herein, we investigated the association between HER2-low and clinico-pathological characteristics in DCIS and subsequent ipsilateral loco-regional relapse (LRR).
Materials And Methods: We accessed our prospectively maintained institutional database.
Purpose: The relevance of cardiotoxicity in the context of HER2-positive breast cancer is likely to increase with increasing patient treatment exposure, number of treatment lines, and prolonged survival. Circulating biomarkers to early identify patients at risk of cardiotoxicity could allow personalized treatment and follow-up measures. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between circulating microRNAs and adverse cardiac events in HER2-positive breast cancer patients.

Purpose: A randomized trial was conducted to compare neoadjuvant standard (S) anthracycline + ifosfamide (AI) regimen with histology-tailored (HT) regimen in selected localized high-risk soft tissue sarcoma (STS). The results of the trial demonstrated the superiority of S in all STS histologies except for high-grade myxoid liposarcoma (HG-MLPS) where S and HT appeared to be equivalent. To further evaluate the noninferiority of HT compared with S, the HG-MLPS cohort was expanded.
