We performed multiphoton ionization of styrene molecules and observed the formation of styrene and benzene cations, the latter being reported for the first time in the multiphoton ionization of styrene. The formation of the benzene cation reveals an internal conversion from the S state to the S state, which occurs via a S/S conical intersection at 4.66 eV above the minimum of the S state.

Geospatial maps can show how the ineffective operations of inactive mines affect water and aquifer quality. As such, the purpose of this study is to assess the impact of mining and irrigation on the aquifer ecosystem through the evaluation of LULC and slope maps through the application of Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS and DEM data. A total of 50 groundwater samples were prepared from villages in the close proximity to inactive mines during pre and post monsoon periods in 2021.

In this work, cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)-assisted polyaniline-molybdenum disulfide (CPANI-MoS) nanosheets with a flower morphology have been synthesized through polymerization and a hydrothermal method. The composite was analyzed for structural modification through X-ray diffraction (XRD) to examine chemical changes and the presence of functional groups Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy techniques. The surface morphology was identified by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) techniques.
