Incorporating Circulating Tumor DNA Testing Into Clinical Trials: A Position Paper by the National Cancer Institute GI Oncology Circulating Tumor DNA Working Group.

Purpose: Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is an emerging tool in the evaluation of GI cancers. Challenges remain in defining its utility and role as a primary end point in therapeutic trials. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) ctDNA GI working group was created to evaluate current data and provide guidance on the inclusion of ctDNA in GI cancer trials.

Design, synthesis, and , , and evaluation of novel substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives as anticonvulsant agents.

In the present study, a library of ten novel substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives were designed and synthesized using an appropriate synthetic route. The characterization of the synthesized compounds was performed by FT-IR and NMR (H and C) spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds were assayed for human carbonic anhydrase (CA) inhibition against two isoforms II and IX.

Background: Somatic FGFR gene alterations (FGFRalt) may act as oncogenic drivers across several cancers. The prognostic impact of FGFRalt in solid tumors is not fully understood. Improved Outcomes Following Resection of Perihilar Cholangiocarcinoma: A 27-Year Experience.

Background: Resection of perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (pCCA) is associated with significant perioperative morbidity and mortality. We sought to evaluate surgical outcomes following resection of pCCA over time.

Methods: Patients who underwent curative-intent resection with hepatectomy for pCCA at a single institution were divided into two cohorts based on date of resection: past cohort (1996-2013), and recent cohort (2014-2023).
