Crab shell-based hierarchical micro/meso-porous carbon as an efficient nano-adsorbent for CO/CH separation: experiments and DFT modeling.

In this study, we prepared a range of nanoporous carbon nano-adsorbents from crab shells (CSs) using KOH activation and evaluated their suitability for selective adsorption of CO/CH gas mixtures. We employed various characterization techniques, including XRD, FT-IR, SEM, Raman, TGA, and BET analysis, to assess the properties of these nano-adsorbents. Our investigation includes the systematic study of various parameters, such as activation time, activation temperature, and the KOH to CS activating agent ratio.

Mental health status in healthcare workers during COVID-19 pandemic: An online questionnaire study in the southwest Iran.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate Mental Health Status, such as stress, anxiety, or depression symptoms, during the Covid-19 pandemic in healthcare workers at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences.

Methods: This study is an online cross-sectional study conducted on healthcare professionals at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Science from November 25, 2020, to March 30 2021. PHQ9 and Kessler collected outcome variables of depression, anxiety, and psychological distress questionnaires.

Effects of brief cognitive behavioral therapy on mental health in substance-related disorder: a randomized controlled trial.

Background & Objectives: Population and aging are major contributing factors influencing the increase in substance use disorder (SUD), which in itself affects mental health, particularly anxiety and depression. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and pharmacotherapy co-treatment are considered the gold standard for the treatment of SUD. Thus, the present study has been carried out to investigate the efficacy of brief CBT on the general health of opioid users.

Characterization of active Cerish fructan-sumac extract composite films: Physical, mechanical, and antioxidant properties.

The biodegradable active films have the potential to increase the shelf life and safety of food products. In this study, the properties of (Cerish) root fructans (ESRF) film and its combination with L. (Sumac) extract (RCLE) at different concentrations (1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% w/w) were investigated.

Comparison of the efficacy of venlafaxine and bupropion in the treatment of depressive episode in patients with bipolar II disorder.

Objective: Depressive disorders are common among those with bipolar disorder II (BD II) and may necessitate the use of antidepressants. Because of the lack of quality evidence, there is controversy about the use of antidepressants in BD II. The aim was to compare the efficacy of venlafaxine and bupropion in the treatment of depressive episode in BD II.
