Imaging of Benign Biliary Tract Disease.

This review article discusses the most common benign biliary disorders and the various radiological findings on multiple modalities. A broad spectrum of diseases including various congenital disorders, infective and parasitic etiologies, immunological pathologies such as primary sclerosing cholangitis, and immunoglobulin G4-related sclerosing cholangitis are discussed along with obstructive diseases and ischemic cholangitis. The article emphasized the imaging differential diagnosis of the above lesions as well as clinical correlates those that are most relevant to radiologists.

Supplementation with long-acting injectable progesterone 3 days after TAI impaired luteal function in buffaloes.

Three experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of long-acting injectable progesterone (iP4) in buffalo cows. In Experiment 1, ovariectomized buffaloes received 300 mg (iP300) or 600 mg (iP600) of iP4, and serum P4 concentrations were evaluated. In experiment 2, three groups were compared: control or administration of 300 mg of iP4 3 (iP4-D3) or 6 days (iP4-D6) after timed artificial insemination (TAI).

A Prospective Study of Prevalence and Impact of Sarcopenia on Short-term Mortality in Hospitalized Patients with Liver Cirrhosis.

Background: Sarcopenia is common in chronic advanced liver disease and is associated with poor prognosis. There is paucity of Indian data regarding sarcopenia in chronic advanced liver disease & its impact on prognosis. The aim of this study was to study the prevalence of sarcopenia in Indian patients with chronic advanced liver disease and its impact on morbidity and short-term mortality.

Central Line Patency: Management With Normal Saline Flushes for Adult Patients With Cancer.

Background: Central venous catheter (CVC) maintenance is critical in administering chemotherapy, transfusions, and high-frequency laboratory draws. Although normal saline (NS) flushes have been associated with similar incidences of irreversible port occlusions as heparin among adult patients with cancer and ports, additional research is needed regarding NS efficacy in other central line maintenance within large populations with cancer.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to analyze changes in reported CVC line patency via tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) administration rates in ports and other central lines because of an institutional switch from heparin to NS as preferred flushes in adult ambulatory patients with cancer.

Advancing the Actionability of Mental Health Information: Identifying Online, Evidence-Based Mental Health Resources.

To improve the dissemination and actionability of mental health research, many mental health professionals have developed online informational resources to increase the general public's awareness of mental health difficulties and available treatments. Yet, limited information exists on the quality and scope of these resources. This study aimed to explore the scope and quantity of online, free, evidence-based mental health resources.
