Synthesis and Characterization of Homo- and Heteroleptic Neptunium(IV) Heteroarylalkenolate Complexes.

Heteroleptic An (An = U, Np) chlorido-ketoenaminate complexes of the type [AnCl(TFB-BuA)(THF)] ( type: , ; TFB-BuA = 4-(-butylamino)-1,1,1-trifluorobut-3-en-2-one) and the homoleptic Np heteroarylalkenolate complexes [Np(PyTFP)] (, PyTFP = 1-(pyridin-2-yl)-3,3,3-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol) and [Np(DMOTFP)] (, DMOTFP = 1-(4,5-dimethyloxazol-2-yl)-3,3,3-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol) were synthesized and characterized (SC-XRD, NMR, Vis-NIR, MS). While their solid-state structures compare well to those of their uranium analogues, the behavior in solution showed significant differences. The binding motif of the DMOTFP ligand in complex can change to form two different complex isomers, as seen by paramagnetic chemical shifts in NMR experiments.

Fully Synthetic Data for Complex Surveys.

When seeking to release public use files for confidential data, statistical agencies can generate fully synthetic data. We propose an approach for making fully synthetic data from surveys collected with complex sampling designs. Our approach adheres to the general strategy proposed by Rubin (1993).

De novo transcriptome profiling revealing genes involved in piperine biosynthetic pathway in Piper longum L.

Piper longum, commonly known as long pepper, is highly valued for its bioactive alkaloid piperine, which has diverse pharmaceutical and culinary applications. In this study, we used high-throughput sequencing and de novo transcriptome assembly to analyze the transcriptomes of P. longum leaves, roots, and spikes.

Objectives: Evidence regarding interventions to engage men and boys to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) has grown rapidly across subtopics such as HIV, family planning and gender-based violence (GBV). We conducted a review of the effectiveness of interventions to engage men and boys across SRHR domains, lessons learnt about successful programming, and about harms/unintended consequences, in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC).

Design: Systematic review of reviews following Cochrane guidelines.

Sonographic "Comet Tail" Artifacts in the Urinary Bladder in a Case of Type V Hyperlipidemia: A Previously Unreported Association.

The case pertains to a 29-year-old male who presented with epigastric pain at the hospital. On evaluation, he was sonographically detected to have "comet tail" reverberation artifacts involving the echogenic floaters in the lumen of the urinary bladder. The patient was subsequently diagnosed with Type V hyperlipidemia and acute pancreatitis.
