Possibilities of Endovascular Hemostasis in Treatment of Pancreatic Bleeding.

Pancreatic hemorrhage is one of the most severe complications of various pancreatic diseases that are difficult to treat even in multidisciplinary hospitals. Mortality from pancreatic hemorrhage can reach up to 80%. This study aimed to evaluate the possibility of maintaining endovascular homeostasis in the treatment of patients with pancreatic hemorrhage.

The paper describes a case of gastric histiocytic sarcoma in a 70 year-old man, which was diagnosed from immunohistochemical examination of biopsy and surgical specimens. It gives the data available in the literature on the morphological features of this rare cancer and its diagnostic criteria.
