Design/participants: This was a multicentre retrospective cohort study of adult patients (≥18 years) presenting with a process associated International Classification of Diseases code (ICD-AM-10) pertaining to sepsis between January 2017 and July 2020 to rural Emergency Departments.
Main Outcome Measures: Our primary outcome was antibiotic appropriateness as defined by the Australian Therapeutic Guidelines (for antibiotic selection relative to infecting source) and the National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey tool. Our secondary outcome was in-hospital mortality.
A frame providing tactile feedback for the reproducibility of deep inspiratory breath-hold (DIBH) is described. The frame, fitted across the patient, comprises a horizontal bar, parallel to the patient's long axis, and holds a graduated pointer perpendicular to it. The pointer provides individualized tactile feedback for reproducibility of DIBH.

They commonly affect patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) and are often missed in those without, despite being fatal if left untreated. We report a case of cepacia syndrome in a 42-year-old, immunocompetent man without CF who initially presented with sepsis secondary to pneumonia.

Decline in neurocognitive function after cranial irradiation for brain tumors correlates with a hippocampal maximum dose (Dmax) of more than 16 Gy, minimum dose (Dmin) of more than 9 Gy, and dose to 40% of the hippocampal volume (D40%) exceeding 7.3 Gy in 2-Gy equivalent dose (EQD2), respectively.

However, not much is known with respect to the SS receptor subtype (sst) expression pattern and the expression of SS itself in the immune system.
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the mRNA expression of the five known sst (sst(1-5)) in peripheral blood mononuclear cell (sub)populations.
